Small Grants for Scientific Research on and around the Rideau Lakes
DEADLINE: January 31, 2026
To develop our understanding of the science that underpins our environmental activities, the RLEF has established a program of small grants to support research projects. We are interested in receiving proposals from scientific researchers working in any discipline that contributes to our knowledge of the flora, fauna, or environment of the Rideau Lakes. Preference may be given to projects that advance our ability to conserve the Rideau Lakes environment and maintain its biodiversity through restoration, stewardship, or sustainable resource management.
Awards can be used to complete a small project or to assist in the development or delivery of a larger one. Funds can also be specifically requested for analyzing and reporting research results. Early-career applicants will be considered.
Maximum Award: $5,000
Deadline for Applications: January 31, 2026
Project Completion: No later than November 30, 2026 (longer projects will be considered with rationale)
